I was afraid to tell people at first what I had done in case it didn’t work but anyhow I’m here to tell the tale now. I started off by hoping I’d loose 2 stone to give me a head start. Before I knew it I was down 2 stone then 4 stone and so on until I lost a grand total of 7 stone. I have to say the Gastric Balloon is life changing, it was for me anyhow. I didn’t know it existed until I went online to look into Gastric bands even though I was afraid of surgery. Then I found this thing called the Gastric Balloon. I rang Cosmedico for some information and advice, spoke to a girl called Naomi and shall we say the rest is history. She was so helpful and supportive. Within a week I was up for a consultation and a while later I had the procedure done. I met Nurse Maureen who is a saint in my eyes - great support every day I had the balloon in - no matter what time of day or night I rang I always got 1st class treatment.
I’m back on track now. I can walk, I’m at the gym, I’m buying nice clothes, food isn’t my first priority anymore. I now know what its like to shop for nice clothes instead of hiding in the baggy track suit bottoms or elastic band trousers. I’m down 6 sizes from a 26/28 to a 12/14...I can’t explain how good it feels to walk into any shop now and not have to go to the very back of the rail to see if they have the largest size. I now can walk into any shop and know I will get nice clothes at the last minute if need be.
Cosmedico and Gastric Balloon changed my life for the best and I will never allow myself to go back to the frumpy fat unhappy girl...I’m finally living my life again. A happier healthier one at that, long may it continue...Best of luck to anyone who has the procedure done - don’t think twice about it. Go for it, it’s worth every second of every day of the 6 months...People are seeing less of me now but in the best way...
