Important Notice about press coverage

While there are currently no regulatory or licensing requirements in relation to the practice of cosmetic surgery, which we would be in the favour of, we maintain excellent professional standards because our patients and their safety are at the very core of what we do.

In the absence of regulation and licensing, we clinically rely on the specialist register of the Medical Council and their handling of any patient complaints/patient safety issues that come to their attention. We at all times co-operate with the Medical Council and seek to work with them to ensure patient safety.

We regret any anxiety as may have been caused to our patients in terms of recent media attention. While we do not wish to make any comment in terms of the Medical Council’s recommendations we merely state that the clinician involved has not worked in Cosmedico since October 2009.
