Your surgeon performs rhinoplasty in order to reshape the nose. Appearance can be improved for those people who are dissatisfied with the shape and size of their nose. Nasal reconstruction was one of the first cosmetic procedures ever developed and is among those most frequently performed today.

Rhinoplasty is a surgical procedure in which deformities of the nose are corrected by removing, rearranging or reshaping bone or cartilage.
It.is important to remember that the nose is an organ with an extraordinarily complex anatomy. The nose is fundamental to breathing. It makes the air warm, humid and pure before being introduced inside our body. Under the aesthetic point of view the nose is the anatomical detail on which our focus goes when we talk or observe somebody.
Because of all these reasons rhinoplasty is, in our opinion, the most difficult of all the facial plastic surgery procedures. There are few plastic surgeons who dedicate themselves to it as the rhinoplasty is an ultra specialized operation which requires an immaculate surgical technique and a vast knowledge of its anatomy. All these aspects are tantamount to preventing complications which in rhinoplasty are dramatic and hard to correct.
One cannot afford to presume that it is easy to reduce a nasal “bump”. This requires a deep study of the entire nasal system and must be personalized according to the patient’s anatomical variability.
In rhinoplasty modifications of a few millimetres can make huge changes, for this reason for me a rhinoplasty should be very conservative respecting the original facial architecture to achieve an elegant, natural and delicate result.
We would like to introduce the concept of rhinosculpture. More than ever among specialists of the sector this term is used to make clear that rhinoplasty is not only a reductive procedure (resectioning parts of the nose) but there are many more patients who require a transplant of cartilaginous graft (which means to move some pieces of nasal cartilage from one place to another) for cosmetical and functional reasons. Surgeons who do not dominate these techniques, we believe, should spend time perfecting their grafting techniques before facing any rhinoplasty.
A badly performed rhinoplasty can have not only a poor aesthetic result but also a malfunctional one, for example: a nasal collapse (full or partial), severe obstructions and breathing difficulties.
There is no such thing as an easy rhinoplasty only difficult or very difficult
"After struggling for ten years to make such a huge decision about a Rhinoplasty surgery, I finally found a hundred percent confidence and peace of mind with my surgeon from Cosmedico. He was recommended to me by a friend who was also delighted with her results. After three consultations with different surgeons and clinics I found Cosmedico to be the most helpful and accommodating to my needs. My surgery involved an overnight stay at the clinic and I honestly cannot say enough about the nursing staff and the detail of care that I received.
Two years ago I had a procedure done with another surgeon at a Dublin based clinic and cannot compare my pre and post operative care that I received from my surgeon and all his team at Cosmedico. I am so happy with my results and would strongly recommend them to anyone considering a procedure. I can’t thank my surgeon enough for my new level of confidence. My only regret is not discovering Cosmedico years ago!
