Mr Hewin is a consultant upper gastrointestinal and laparoscopic (keyhole) surgeon.
Mr Hewin attended University of Bristol Medical School and trained in Surgery in the South West of England. In addition to his degree in Medicine, he has a degree in Anatomical Science and an MD for his research into oesophageal and gastric cancer. He is a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of England.
Mr Hewin has been awarded several travelling fellowships and trained in New York, Pittsburgh, Lyon and Rome.
Mr Hewin specialises in keyhole surgery for obesity, gallstones, hernia and acid reflux as well as upper.
Mr Hewin has established one of the few independent private weight management clinics in the UK, offering a range of interventions including gastric balloons and gastric banding. He has personally performed over 100 weight loss procedures. He has published research into outcomes of gastric banding and presented his results at international meetings. He is now bringing his wealth of knowledge in this arena to Cosmedico.

Professor Anil MadareeProfessor Anil Madaree MD F.C.S SA PLAST is a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and is on the Specialist Register of Plastic Surgery with the Irish Medical Council in Ireland . The Register is divided into 3 . The first, Plastics (burns, skin grafts etc) The second,Reconstruction (following breast cancer or trauma to parts of the body through an accident etc) and Aesthetic which is the cosmetic arm of plastic surgery. There are only a handful of these specialists working in Ireland and we are very privileged to have as part of our team Prof. Madaree with his wealth of experience in this area. He is also registered with the General Medical Council (UK) and of course the South African Council where he trained initially.
He has worked full-time since 1988 in Plastic Surgery and was appointed the first full-time Professor of Plastic and Reconstructive surgery at the University of Natal 1994. He later furthered his training in cosmetic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia in the US. He came to Ireland in 2000 and has built up a very strong clientele since then. His patients are very assured following their consultations that they are in the very best of hands.
Prof. Madaree has preformed over 12,000 surgeries both in Ireland and abroad. As we know, South Africa is one of the leading countries pioneering work in this industry and Prof Madaree is one of their leading plastic surgeons.

DR FEDERICO DE GADODr De Gado is a fully qualified Plastic Surgeon working full time in Aesthetic (cosmetic) Surgery.
He has a fellowship from the Plastic and Reconstructive Department in the University of Sao Paula in Brazil (Aug 2002 – Sept 2005)
He also obtained a fellowship at the Plastic and Reconstructive Department of the infamous and world renowned Queen Victoria Hospital in the UK in 2003.
He qualified with a specialist degree in 2005 from the University of Rome and commenced working in the UK 2006.
He is on the Specialist Register of Plastic, Reconstruction and Aesthetic Surgery with The Italian Medical Council, British General Medical Council and the Irish Medical Council.
In 2009, he was awarded a PhD on Breast Pathologies and Surgeries from the University of Rome. This was for his work on the breast from both the reconstruction and aesthetic perspective.
Dr. De Gado has preformed well over 1,000 cosmetic surgery procedures in the past 3 years.
He has published international papers on aesthetic and reconstruction surgery and regularly attends conferences worldwide to keep up to date with all the latest techniques. He also attended one of the most important Rhinoplasty conferences in the world in Texas in 2008 where all the latest information and research is available in this most difficult of cosmetic procedures.
